Job summary

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis is offering a 10-week Summer Internship for aspiring Network Engineers in Indianapolis. The program combines hands-on technical work with professional skills development in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.

Interns will join the Network Operations group, gaining exposure to core network infrastructure, routing/switching, and hybrid cloud initiatives, while benefiting from mentorship and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an undergraduate degree program.
• Have completed at least their sophomore year of undergraduate studies.
• Majoring in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Management, Cyber Security/Info Assurance.
• Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
• Work well independently and in team settings
• Are detail‑oriented, organized, and eager to solve problems

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot core network infrastructure.
• Support network configuration, upgrades, and engineering projects.
• Learn network security practices and operational efficiency.
• Explore network automation, scripting, and technical documentation.
• Engage with hybrid cloud technologies and on‑premises integration.
• Participate in team-building activities and professional development sessions
