Job summary

Patterson Companies is seeking a Network Engineer to plan, design, test and implement IT projects ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets. Hybrid role with two in-office days near Mendota Heights, MN.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related field and at least 2 years of network engineering experience with vendor gear (Juniper, Cisco, Palo Alto) and SD-WAN/VLAN experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related area or equivalent education and/or experience.
• 2 years experience in network engineering or architecture, preferably in large scale-hybrid environment.
• Experience with network equipment such as Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco and
• Experience with network virtualization technology such as SD-WAN, VLAN, Azure VLAN

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, deploy and integrate IT solutions within assigned technology areas.
• Monitor systems and applications; identify issues and consult on resolutions.
• Help create standards, processes and procedures to streamline operations.
• Assist with escalation resolution and incident handling based on impact.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to mitigate IT risks and implement controls.
• Ensure documentation and knowledge management are up to date.
• Maintain security architecture and standards compliance.
