Job summary

We are seeking a skilled .NET Developer for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) on a 12‑month contract at 2 Broadway, NY 10004. The role is hybrid with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote.

You will work in a Microsoft stack environment, focusing on installing, configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting applications. Key responsibilities include IIS management, GitBash workflows, SQL Server maintenance, and collaboration with agile teams using Jira.

Qualifications

• Experience with .NET development in Oracle and MS SQL Server environments.
• Experience installing, configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting MS-based applications.
• Familiarity with IIS, GitBash, Jira, and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain web applications, APIs, and Windows services.
• Configure IIS including app pools, site bindings, SSL certificates.
• Use GitBash for repo operations as part of development workflow.
• Build, troubleshoot, and debug across development, QA, and production.
• Perform unit and regression testing to ensure quality.
• Manage connection strings and deployment configurations.
• Write queries and maintain MS SQL Server databases.
