Job summary

New Wave People is seeking a skilled .NET/Oracle Developer for a hybrid role in New York, with 3 days on site at 2 Broadway and 2 days remote. You will work in a Microsoft stack, installing, configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting applications across development, QA, and production.

The ideal candidate has solid experience with Oracle and MS SQL Server, familiarity with IIS, GitBash, Jira, and CI/CD pipelines, thriving in an agile SDLC environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain web apps, APIs, and services.

• Write queries and store procedures in MS SQL Server.
• Collaborate in Jira for sprint planning and tracking.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure deployment readiness.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled .NET Developer with strong experience working with Oracle and MS SQL Server environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting applications and services built primarily on the Microsoft technology stack. This role involves both independent task execution and collaborative work within a team-oriented, agile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain web applications, APIs, web services, Windows services, and Windows desktop applications.
• Configure and manage Internet Information Services (IIS), including application pools, site bindings, SSL certificate installation and renewal.
• Use GitBash for cloning repositories, managing branches, and pulling updates as part of the development workflow.
• Build, troubleshoot, and debug applications across development, QA, and production environments.
• Perform unit testing and regression testing to ensure application functionality, stability, and quality.
• Configure connection strings, application settings, environment variables, and related deployment configurations.
• Work with MS SQL Server to write queries, stored procedures, and perform basic database maintenance.
• Utilize front-end technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, and Bootstrap to support application interfaces.
• Collaborate with team members using Jira for sprint planning, task tracking, and agile workflow management.
• Assist in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving production issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure proper version control practices, branching strategies, and deployment readiness across multiple environments.
• Experience with .NET Framework and/or .NET Core.
• Familiarity with Oracle databases and SQL development.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment tools.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
