Job summary

GBH is seeking a Motion Designer/Editor to join the Creative team. You will work across motion design, animation and editing for GBH’s broadcast, digital and promotional platforms.

The ideal candidate combines strong visual storytelling with typography, composition and pacing. You’ll collaborate with designers, editors, producers and leadership, while staying adaptable to various brand languages and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating motion design, editing and storytelling across styles.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design and execute motion graphics, animation and edited video for broadcast, digital, social, promotional and marketing projects.
• Work within and build upon existing creative systems, adapting to different visual styles while maintaining brands and design language.
• Develop new creative approaches when needed, including style frames, storyboards and motion tests.
• Own projects from concept to final delivery within schedules and budgets.
• Design and animate graphics packages, show opens and branded content.
• Edit short-form video with storytelling, pacing, music and motion graphics.
• Participate in video production including camera operation, lighting and directing depending on experience.
• Collaborate with leadership, producers and clients; present work, respond to feedback and revise accordingly.
• Stay current with evolving tools and workflows; share knowledge across the team.
