Job summary

Gold Star Mortgage Financial Group is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator – Inside Sales to join our fast-growing, client-focused lending team in a hybrid role from the Chicago office. The MLO will use web-based marketing strategies and phone sales to expand Gold Star’s lending footprint nationwide from one of our branch offices.

The role requires strong prospecting and relationship-building skills, with experience in mortgage lending and the ability to explain rates, terms, and guidance clearly

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of mortgage lending experience with prospecting and sourcing leads, telephone sales, and developing relationships.
• Verifiable track record of purchase and referral-based sales volume.
• Must have exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Consult with prospective borrowers to determine their financial objectives and goals.
• Review, analyze credit and financial data, and pre-qualify applicants.
• Present options and alternatives for various financial products that Gold Star offers, explain rates and terms in an easy to understand manner, and answer questions regarding the financing process.
• Monitor the loan from origination through closing and coordinate with processors, underwriters, closers, and staff to facilitate a smooth, compliant transaction.
• Develop and maintain lifelong relationships with consumers, business partners, and colleagues.
