Job summary

WHOOP is seeking a Senior Engineer to act as Technical Lead for the MLOps team, owning strategy, roadmap, and execution for a core ML platform component. The role blends hands-on engineering with small-team leadership to scale ML capabilities across the organization.

You will partner with Data Science, AI, Product, and Engineering to translate requirements into robust platform solutions, ensuring reliability and performance while shaping the long-term vision of the domain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience with ML infrastructure and cloud-based systems.
• Proven track record delivering complex systems end-to-end and leading engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision, roadmap, and delivery for a core ML platform component.
• Lead a small team of engineers by setting direction and priorities.
• Drive end-to-end delivery with reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Mentor engineers and contribute hands-on to system design.
• Design scalable ML infrastructure and CI/CD for deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Data Science, AI, Product, and Engineering teams.
