Job summary

Donato LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Architect for our Coral Gables studio in Miami, FL. This onsite role with a semi-hybrid schedule requires a registered architect, 15+ years of experience, and strong leadership to oversee projects from conception through construction.

Candidates should be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM (Dynamo, Grasshopper) with advanced 3D modeling skills, and have a proven track record in construction administration and coordination with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional architecture experience.
• Registered Architect or eligibility to complete the ARE.
• LEED accreditation is a plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and BIM software; 3D modeling essential.
• Construction administration experience on large-scale projects.
• Strong technical and design problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead Architectural Projects: manage full architectural process from schematic design to construction administration across various project types.
• Construction Administration: act as primary liaison during construction, conduct site visits, lead owner/contractor meetings, resolve on-site issues.
• Mentorship and Leadership: oversee and mentor junior staff, maintain design and technical standards across all phases.
• Client and Stakeholder Engagement: present design concepts and updates to clients, contractors and review boards.
• Legal and Code Compliance: ensure adherence to codes, fire regulations, zoning, and accessibility.
• Collaboration and Coordination: work with multidisciplinary teams and external consultants to maintain design integrity.
