Job summary

Verisk in Jersey City, NJ seeks an experienced MFT Lead Engineer to design, build, and modernize the managed file transfer platform. You will lead secure transfer patterns, scheduling, encryption, automation, and resilience across enterprise data exchanges.

You will own platform architecture, drive modernization with API enablement, CI/CD, observability, and production readiness, guiding incident response, runbooks, and vendor strategy in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering, design, and delivery of the enterprise MFT platform, including secure transfer patterns, workflows, scheduling, encryption, automation, and resilience.
• Own platform architecture and technical standards to ensure secure, scalable, reliable, and supportable file transfer services.
• Drive modernization initiatives, including automation, self-service capabilities, API enablement, CI/CD integration, and cloud adoption where applicable.
• Establish and improve observability through dashboards, alerting, logging, service metrics, and reporting to support proactive service management and continuous improvement.
• Provide engineering oversight for service health, escalations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and long-term reliability improvements.
• Partner with operations, infrastructure, security, architecture, and business stakeholders to deliver production-ready solutions and define operational readiness requirements, including runbooks, monitoring, training, and handoff artifacts.
• Support governance, audit, and risk management activities by ensuring strong technical controls, secure onboarding standards, certificate management, and remediation of platform vulnerabilities.
• Act as the technical lead and subject matter expert for the MFT platform, influencing roadmap, vendor strategy, technical debt reduction, and service-quality outcomes.
