Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of medical coding or health information management experience.
• Completion of an accredited Health Information Management or Medical Coding program.
• Current coding certification such as CCS, CPC, RHIT, or equivalent preferred.
• Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS and related coding systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Reviews clinical documentation to assign accurate diagnoses and procedures.
• Abstracts key data into health information systems for reporting.
• Supports coding quality reviews and internal audits as assigned.
• Collaborates with providers and coding staff to ensure completeness.
• Maintains productivity and accuracy standards in a high-volume setting.
