Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of clinical workflows, patient care, and basic medical terminology.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR enrollment/completion of healthcare training.

Responsibilities

• Responds to general patient inquiries about clinic operations within scope of practice.
• Rooms patients (virtual and in person) and performs vitals, medical histories, and intake.
• May obtain medical records and prepare medical information for appointments.
• Prepares and turns over examination rooms; manages stretchers and beds as needed.
• Performs medication preparation and administration per standing orders or policies.
• Administers injections and immunizations as appropriate.
• Performs lab/POC testing and assists providers.
• Supports consent forms and patient instruction within scope of practice.
• Maintains a safe environment by following procedures and guidelines.
• Enter orders and co-signatures per policy; manage medication renewals.
