Job summary

Desert Sky Endocrinology is seeking a Back Office Medical Assistant to support providers with patient care, including vital signs and medication list updates. You will communicate with nurses and doctors and occasionally assist with Front Office duties, greeting patients warmly.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and advocates for patients. Strong multi-tasking and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant certification required.
• Basic computer skills necessary.
• Ability to adhere to health and safety guidelines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Compassionate, respectful, ethical approach.
• Excellent attendance is expected.

Responsibilities

• Rooming 20+ patients a day.
• Update patient charts and history including medication lists.
• Upload CGM and Pump information.
• Answer phone calls, return calls, relay patient results.
• Prep patient charts for upcoming appointments.
• Take vital signs.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Verify insurance and collect copays/balances.
• Check in/out patients.
• Schedule lunches/coordinating.
• Order supplies.
• Perform admin tasks as assigned.
