Three Crosses Regional Hospital seeks a Dual Medical Assistant/Medical Receptionist for its IM Clinic on Missouri Ave in Las Cruces. The role combines clinical support with front-office duties, including patient check-in/out, scheduling, and insurance verification, with emphasis on accuracy and compassionate patient care.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of two (2) years of Medical Assistant experience in a physician office or outpatient clinical setting.
• Medical Assistant certification (preferred).
• Previous medical office, patient registration, scheduling, or receptionist experience (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Assist physicians and nursing personnel with injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, and other patient care procedures.
• Obtain and accurately record patient information, medical history, and vital signs in the EHR.
• Record and process patient care documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians and in accordance with established standards.
• Organize, stock, and clean exam and treatment rooms and sterilize instruments as required.
• Maintain required Medical Assistant and BLS/CPR certifications.
• Greet patients and assist with patient check-in and check-out.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments, follow-up visits, and procedures.
• Answer calls, respond to voicemails, route messages, and follow up as appropriate.
• Verify and update patient demographic, insurance, and contact information.
• Assist with referrals, orders, medical records, and other patient documentation.
• Collect applicable patient payments and document financial information.
• Provide professional customer service and assist patients with questions and forms.
• Maintain clean, organized reception and patient-care areas.
• Perform both Medical Assistant and Medical Receptionist duties and transition between clinical and front-office tasks.
