Job summary

CESO, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Staff Engineer II in Akron, OH. The role supports senior staff by performing basic design tasks, calculations, and documentation to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

The candidate will use Revit, AutoCAD, and Carrier HAP, participate in design reviews, and collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to define scope and equipment needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university; 3+ years of relevant experience; Master’s in Electrical/Architectural Eng. can substitute up to 1 year.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Carrier HAP and BlueBeam Revu.

Responsibilities

• Communicate design requirements effectively with internal and external design team members, contractors, and equipment sales reps to determine project scope and feasibility.
• Develop design approaches and concepts with input and oversight from senior staff.
• Participate in client and industry events to build professional relationships.
• Understand industry standards, policies, and procedures for project execution.
• Perform calculations, design basic engineering systems, and assist with project coordination.
• Create system layouts, drawings, schematics, and schedules using Revit, AutoCAD or similar tools.
