Job summary

Adecco Permanent Recruitment is partnering with a well-established engineering consulting firm to hire a Mechanical Project Manager. You will lead complex building systems projects from proposal through construction while serving as the primary client contact, managing multidisciplinary teams, and remaining actively involved in engineering design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of mechanical consulting engineering experience.
• Experience managing projects from concept through construction.
• Strong client-facing communication and project leadership skills.
• Experience with existing buildings, renovations, and infrastructure upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering projects from proposal through construction administration.
• Serve as primary client contact while managing scope, schedule, budgets and execution.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subconsultants for project delivery.
• Design and oversee HVAC and central utility systems including lab HVAC, boilers, chillers and cogeneration.
• Prepare calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documents.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership throughout the design process.
• Support business development, proposals and fee estimates.
