Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for Spring/Summer 2027, based in New York, NY or Bloomfield, NJ. The internship offers hands-on design experience within our infrastructure practice and exposure to real-world projects.

The role involves assisting with design activities under supervision, producing designs, calculations, sketches, and diagrams, and gaining familiarity with Revit/AutoCAD while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or in another related field and must have completed at least 1 year of study.
• Preferred qualifications include experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD, and familiarity with MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering design activities under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, and schematic drawings under guidance.
• Support project teams and gain hands-on experience across infrastructure projects.
