Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Everett, WA to join an innovative team developing electric propulsion and battery technology for next-generation aircraft. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace Engineering will also be considered).
• 1-5 years of mechanical engineering experience preferred.
• Strong SolidWorks skills and experience creating drawings.
• Familiarity with PLM systems and engineering documentation.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and assemblies for propulsion systems.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, drawings, and design documentation in SolidWorks.
• Support product development from concept through production release.
• Perform design trade studies and evaluate manufacturing approaches.
• Develop BOMs, assembly instructions, and test documentation.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Test teams.
• Review test data and implement design improvements.
• Support cross-functional engineering problem-solving.
