Job summary

INTEGRA Design Group in Charlotte, North Carolina, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, coordinate, and review HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for building projects. The role involves collaborating with senior engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering degree (ABET-accredited) with 2–5 years of experience, proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD, and knowledge of codes.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited mechanical engineering degree required.
• 2–5 years of mechanical systems design experience.
• PE license strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (Revit preferred).
• Knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
• Experience with load calculation software and energy modeling.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with Design-Build or CM-at-Risk preferred.
• LEED or high-performance building credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for buildings.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Perform hydraulic and mechanical calculations and reports.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, and architectural teams.
• Support construction administration and field visits.
• Attend project meetings with clients, consultants, contractors.
• Stay current with codes and permitting requirements.
• Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, and related design tools.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
