Job summary

RTX is offering a Monday-Friday co-op session in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, where you will gain hands-on experience in mechanical hardware design and manufacturing processes within a blended onsite/remote environment.

As a Mechanical Engineering student, you will support drawing updates, participate in engineering change workflows, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on quality investigations and continuous improvement initiatives across APU and TJ programs. U.S. citizenship required.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in updating drawings through the PW engineering change process.
• Support engineering evaluations related to quality notifications and supplier inquiries on production hardware.
• Participate in mechanical design tasks that consider manufacturability, material selection, structural performance, thermal behavior, system constraints, and cost.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across APU and TJ programs.
