Type One Energy seeks an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to translate design requirements into functional plasma diagnostics systems. You will develop CAD and FE models, perform analysis, and collaborate across engineering and science teams to optimize performance.

The role involves design reviews, TRL assessments, and prototyping with a focus on first-of-a-kind components. Reporting to the Engineering Resource Manager, this full-time position offers a hybrid work policy, relocation

Qualifications

• / Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline, Master’s degree is preferred.
• / Demonstrated experience in engineering analysis using software such as ANSYS or COMSOL.
• / Experience with first-of-a-kind component design.

Responsibilities

• Translate design requirements into functional plasma diagnostics.
• Develop CAD models and finite element models for plasma diagnostics.
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, designers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements.
