Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer II to contribute to the design and development of mechanical solutions for building automation systems. You will create reliable products that enhance safety, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as mechanical engineering.
• 3+ years of mechanical design and development experience.
• 3+ years of CAD experience (CREO preferred, AutoCAD or SolidWorks).
• 1+ year cross-functional collaboration with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for building automation products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and ensure design feasibility.
• Validate prototypes by defining and/or implementing test plans including environmental testing, cycle testing, and durability testing.
• Improve test capabilities through automation, sensors, and software/firmware.
• Support sustaining engineering activities including design changes, quality improvements, and cost reduction initiatives.
