Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer II in Oregon on a Hybrid schedule. You will design mechanical components and assemblies for building automation, collaborate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Electrical Engineering, and validate prototypes with comprehensive test plans to ensure durability and performance.

You’ll help improve testing through automation and sensors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field.
• 3+ years of mechanical design and development experience.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (CREO, AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for building automation products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and ensure design feasibility.
• Validate prototypes by defining and executing test plans including environmental, cycle, and durability testing.
• Improve test capabilities through automation, sensors, and software/firmware.
• Support sustaining engineering activities including design changes, quality improvements, and cost reduction initiatives.
