Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer II in Oregon to design and develop mechanical solutions for building automation systems, improving safety, energy efficiency and occupant comfort. You will apply your engineering expertise to create reliable products and report to the Engineering Manager on a hybrid schedule.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, validate prototypes with test plans including environmental and durability tests, and contribute to cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
• 3 years of experience in mechanical design and development
• 3 years of proficiency in CAD software (Creo, AutoCAD or SolidWorks)
• 1 year working with cross-functional teams such as Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Electrical Engineering

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for building automation products
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and ensure design feasibility
• Validate prototypes with test plans including environmental, cycle, and durability testing
• Improve test capabilities through automation, sensors, and software/firmware
• Support sustaining engineering activities including design changes, quality improvements, and cost reduction initiatives
