Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Core MBSE Engineer in Dearborn, Michigan, offering a hybrid work arrangement balancing home and on-site collaboration. You’ll develop and deploy MBSE tools, create training materials, and advance MBSE processes across global teams using MATLAB/Simulink, CarMaker, and CI/CD tooling.

The role requires a Mechanical/Electrical/Automotive/CS degree and 3 years of MBSE-related experience, with strong scripting and model-based design skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 3 years of experience with MATLAB/Simulink scripting to automate creation of modeling artifacts.
• 3 years of experience deploying MBSE tools and methods for large automotive models.
• 1 year of experience creating MBSE models with MBD/MBSE for requirements validation and code generation.
• Experience with CarMaker vehicle models and integration with Simulink; CI/CD with Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy MBSE tools and methods globally within Ford’s Global Model-Based Design/MBSE Core Department.
• Develop and maintain documentation/videos for MBSE tools and methods; provide training to MBSE community.
• Develop training materials to provide to the user community and support MBSE users.
• Support and improve core MBSE methods; evaluate new MBSE tools from vendors.
• Utilize MATLAB/Simulink, scripting MBSE tools, GUI programming, REST API; provide training and support.
