Job summary

RFCUNY Research Foundation of the City University of New York seeks a Math School Support Specialist to partner with CUNY Early College Network schools, focusing on Algebra and Algebra II. You will coach teachers, collaborate with district teams, and help shape priorities while visiting schools several days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education is required.
• Minimum five years as a math department leader, instructional or leadership coach, curriculum specialist, mentor or trainer.
• Proven ability to use data to plan, implement, and monitor instructional programs.
• Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM Systems; New Visions Portal.

Responsibilities

• Develop positive relationships with principals and teacher leaders to support school goals.
• Coach, mentor, and partner with leaders using dialogical and facilitative approaches.
• Coordinate access to school support to help leaders achieve goals.
• Coach Algebra I/II teachers across a portfolio of schools to improve outcomes.
• Collaborate to develop math resources and math PD workshops.
• Support curriculum implementation and data analysis.
• Lead learning walks and PLCs; assist with assessment planning and action planning.
• Contribute to leadership development and program strengthening in Early College.
