Job summary

Purdue For Life Foundation is seeking an entry-level Marketing Web Developer to build and optimize websites and web apps, primarily using WordPress, while coordinating with the marketing team and IT. The role involves both frontend interfaces and backend API work, with a focus on performance, accessibility, and security.

The candidate will work onsite in West Lafayette with some remote consideration, and join a team dedicated to Purdue University alumni initiatives, scholarships, and community

Qualifications

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with common frameworks.
• Experience with WordPress, Sitecore, or Cascade CMS.
• Experience with Google Analytics and web performance analysis.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and CMS tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-performing websites and web apps focusing on WordPress with backend APIs and front-end interfaces.
• Review and optimize functionality, performance, accessibility, scalability, and security.
• Document development efforts and coordinate with designers and project managers.
• Test, QA, and fix bugs; ensure accessibility and compliance with standards.
• Incorporate AI tools to streamline workflows and marketing efforts when applicable.
