Job summary

Central Coast Community Energy (3CE) is seeking a driven Manager of Market Operations to join our team in Monterey, CA. The role leads front-office market and asset operations, managing CAISO interfaces and contract handoffs while supervising the Market/Asset staff.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in wholesale power markets or CAISO operations, with strong leadership and analytical skills. Hybrid work schedule offered with benefits and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, business, finance, or closely related field.
• 5+ years in wholesale power market operations or CAISO operations.
• Experience with scheduling coordination and asset/contract operations.
• CAISO operational experience and asset-management background is highly desirable.
• Valid California driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead market operations and the CAISO interface with complex issue escalation.
• Direct asset operations and oversee readiness and performance monitoring.
• Coordinate COA and CC Power operational execution and joint arrangements.
• Own contract-operations handoffs and ensure obligations are implemented.
• Develop dashboards and transition analytics in-house from consultants/vendors.
• Provide CAISO driver explanations to Settlements without sole settlement authority.
• Supervise front-office market/asset staff and related duties.
