Job summary

bp is seeking a commercially oriented Market Data & Intelligence professional to support the East Sales team with power market expertise, prospect intelligence, data-driven insights, and market-facing content. This role bridges Sales, Supply, Pricing/Costing, Analytics, and Marketing to translate market data into commercial opportunities.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of U.S. power markets, analytical skills, and the ability to present clear recommendations to Sales and customers.

Qualifications

• Senior experience in power markets, retail electricity, or related field.
• Strong analytical skills with market and customer data.
• Experience with prospect research and lead generation preferred.
• Advanced Excel; experience with Power BI, SQL, Python or CRM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a market intelligence resource for Sales, focusing on U.S. power markets and Eastern regions.
• Identify high-potential commercial and industrial prospects and build target lists.
• Analyze data to uncover market trends, opportunities, and customer segments for Sales.
• Create market updates, talking points, and presentations for customer and broker meetings.
• Collaborate with Marketing to develop market-driven campaigns and thought leadership.
