Job summary

bp is seeking a Market Data & Intelligence professional to support the East Sales team with power market expertise, prospect intelligence, and data-driven insights. The role bridges Sales, Supply, Pricing/Costing, Analytics and Marketing to translate market data into commercial opportunities.

The ideal candidate combines strong knowledge of U.S. power markets with analytic and communication skills, supporting customer meetings and developing market insights for sales strategy.

Qualifications

• Senior experience in power markets, retail electricity, wholesale energy analytics, or related field.
• Strong understanding of U.S. electricity markets, including ISO-NE, NYISO, PJM, or other Eastern markets.
• Advanced Excel; experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, CRM or similar tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a market SME for the East Sales team with focus on U.S. power markets and Eastern markets.
• Supervise wholesale power markets, capacity, congestion, transmission, and regulatory developments affecting pricing.
• Provide market insights and analytical support during customer and broker meetings, with clear recommendations.
