Job summary

CHILDREN AT RISK is seeking a seasoned Director of Major Gifts to lead frontline fundraising, cultivating major gifts, sponsorships, and unrestricted giving in support of C@R's programs. The role builds relationships with individuals and corporations, reporting to the Chief Development Officer and collaborating with program staff to grow unrestricted revenue.

The hybrid Houston-based position requires office time, remote work, and travel across Harris County and the state; a proven track record

Qualifications

• 5+ years in major gift fundraising with direct solicitation and closed gifts.
• Ability to build trust with high-capacity individuals, foundations, and corporate partners.
• Proficiency with donor management software and moves-management.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate, solicit, and steward major and individual gifts across a portfolio.
• Identify and solicit corporate partners and event sponsors; manage sponsor benefits.
• Coordinate with CDO and Event Coordinator; ensure donor recognition and stewardship.
