PINNACLE GROUP (Pinnacle Technical Resources) is seeking a Mainframe Network Engineer to design, configure, implement and support connectivity for IBM mainframe environments. You will ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing communication between mainframe systems, distributed platforms, external partners, and enterprise applications.

Responsibilities include installing and maintaining z/OS Communications Server components, managing TCP/IP on z/OS, VTAM/SNA connectivity, Enterprise Extender,

Qualifications

• Experience with IBM mainframe networking and z/OS communications.
• Ability to install, configure, and maintain mainframe network components.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, VTAM, SNA and secure data exchange.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain z/OS Communications Server components.
• Support and manage TCP/IP configuration on z/OS systems.
• Maintain VTAM definitions and network resources.
• Configure and support Enterprise Extender and SNA connectivity.
• Maintain TN3270 access and session connectivity.
• Support FTP/SFTP and secure data exchange.
• Ensure stable communication between mainframe systems and distributed apps.
• Diagnose IP routing, port, session, DNS, and firewall issues.
• Collaborate on security controls, SSL/TLS, and vulnerability remediation.
• Participate in DR tests and recovery procedures.
