Job summary

PNC is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to install, configure, test and deploy mainframe components across multiple sysplexes. You will support MIS and end users, and coach junior staff while handling on-call duties.

Expect hands-on work with z/OS, SMP/e, JCL, DB2 and related tools, plus strong collaboration with cross-functional teams. This role is based in multiple US locations and requires in-office presence.

Qualifications

• Successful candidates must demonstrate knowledge, skills and abilities for an infrastructure role.
• Experience with mainframe platforms, system utilities and DB2 on z/os or LUW is expected.
• Strong project planning, security and disaster recovery capabilities are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Applies solution design and support while meeting customer needs; designs, builds and maintains infrastructure solutions.
• Develops software/hardware components for projects aligned with business goals.
• Independently resolves common problems and updates applications with new tech.
• Collaborates with engineers, architects and developers to meet project objectives.
• Provides ongoing support for clients and analyzes technological needs.
