Job summary

Benedictine Living is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to perform daily AR processing and coordinate workflow between communities and the Central Billing Office. The role focuses on timely billing and collections across multiple payer sources.

The position requires knowledge of Medicaid and insurance reimbursement, plus proficiency with Word, Excel, and AR software. Hybrid work is offered, with two days in Fridley, MN and remaining work-from-home days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in private pay collections with Fair Credit and Collections rules.
• Knowledge of Medicaid and Insurance reimbursement systems, including billing forms and third party payer requirements for the states Benedictine Communities operate in (MN, WI, MO, IL, ND).
• Knowledge of and skill in using computers and related software for word processing (Word), spreadsheet (Excel) and accounts receivable software such as billing and clearinghouses.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable billing and collection of payments for all designated payers and locations to meet and maintain goals.
• Monitor Medicaid, Medicaid Coinsurance, Medicaid Therapy, Hospice, Veterans Administration, Long Term Care Insurance and other designated payer sources to ensure timely filing for primary and secondary payers.
• Monitor A/R aging and coordinate with AR/Billing Supervisor and Nursing Home Administrator; collect private pay balances to ensure statements are processed and paid promptly.
• Comply with all related laws and regulations pertaining to the position and the Benedictine Corporate Compliance Program.
