Job summary

Alps Alpine NA, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Specialist to manage freight procurement, carrier evaluations, and cost control within a cross-functional team.

You will handle domestic and international shipments, audit invoices, maintain records, and collaborate with Purchasing, Planning, Finance and Warehousing to support VE/VA initiatives.

A Bachelor’s in Logistics or related field and Automotive manufacturing experience are preferred, with SAP MM proficiency and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Trade and Customs or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Automotive Manufacturing highly preferred.
• Training Preferred: Certified Customs Specialist, Intermediate Excel Knowledge.
• 4–10 years of job-related experience in Logistics or Trade Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Request and obtain freight quotations from carriers, freight forwarders, and other providers.
• Support carrier selection based on cost, service, capacity and performance.
• Review and audit freight invoices and transportation costs for accuracy.
• Process and allocate logistics costs for accounting and reporting.
• Maintain accurate logistics records and shipment information.
• Prepare shipping instructions and documentation for domestic and international shipments.
• Communicate shipment delays or issues to stakeholders.
• Support insurance claims and freight audit activities as required.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Planning, Warehousing, Finance on logistics activities.
• Assist with logistics budget preparation, monitoring and reporting.
