Job summary

State Farm in Bowie, MD seeks a Legal Secretary to support attorneys with calendaring, mail processing, and filing in a hybrid office setting. You will interact with clients and courts throughout the litigation process and help manage depositions, mediations, and hearings.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of civil defense litigation secretarial experience (insurance defense or personal injury preferred), strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office and e-filing

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of civil defense litigation secretarial experience, preferably in insurance defense or personal injury

Responsibilities

• Calendar management, processing mail, electronic/paper filing
• Schedule litigation events, including depositions, mediations and hearings
• Drafting routine correspondence and legal documents
