Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree, a paralegal certificate preferred, and 5+ years of experience; insurance defense experience is a plus. Strong prioritization, analytical thinking, and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Paralegal certificate preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience as a litigation paralegal or insurance claims handler in a fast paced environment.
• Insurance defense experience is a plus.
• Experience with pretrial discovery, hearings, arbitration and trial preparations.
• Must be proactive and able to prioritize tasks for multiple stakeholders.
• Analytical thinking and decision‑making skills are critical.
• Clear and effective communication skills both orally and written.

Responsibilities

• Conduct searches via Lexis and social media
• Process and follow up on authorizations for the receipt of medical, employment, worker’s compensation, disability, tax, union, educational and other records
• Order records and maintain a production log
• Review, analyze and organize document productions by opposing parties and co-defendants
• Draft discovery requests and answers
• Draft stipulations, orders, motions to compel, motions for show cause
• Redact and Bates stamp documents
• Determine, prepare and organize material needed for expert witness review, mediation, and deposition
• Trial preparation, including determination and preparation of exhibits, witness materials, and pre-trial filings
