Job summary

AMS Staffing Inc. in San Francisco is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support senior paralegals and attorneys. The role involves legal research, document preparation, and case file management to assist trial teams.

The position requires 6+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in large employment litigation. Paralegal certification or degree is preferred. Hybrid work schedule after ramp-up includes some WFH days, with standard document management and billing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably for a large employment litigation practice.
• Paralegal certification / degree from accredited college or university is preferred.
• Must be proficient in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Lexis-Nexis and WestLaw, Document Management System, expense and billing systems.

Responsibilities

• Researches law, investigates facts, and prepares documents to assist attorneys with matters.
• Organizes and indexes case files.
• Determines and calendars deadlines.
• Performs wide variety of legal research and data compilation.
• Files pleadings with court clerk.
• Prepares reports, correspondence, declarations and complaints.
• Drafts a variety of legal documents.
• Prepares affidavits or documents and maintains document file.
• Prepares for mediations and trials.
• Assists Attorneys at trial.
• Assists Attorney in preparation for depositions.
• Communicates with witnesses and experts.
• Scheduling.
• Enters billing and expense data into Firm system in a timely manner.
