Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Litigation Legal Paralegal for a leading AmLaw 100 national firm in Dallas. The role supports defense litigation in federal and state courts, handling electronic filings, maintaining calendars, coordinating discovery, and assisting with depositions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience in defense matters.
• Experience with electronic filing systems (CM/ECF) and state court platforms.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state court procedures, filing requirements, deadlines.
• Experience supporting discovery, depositions, motions, hearings or trials.
• Excellent proofreading, writing, research and document-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize deadlines, work independently and collaborate with attorneys.
• Paralegal certificate or relevant degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys in managing defense litigation matters in federal and state courts.
• Prepare, format, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, briefs electronically per rules and deadlines.
• Manage federal and state e-filing submissions, confirm acceptance, and maintain filing records.
• Monitor court dockets, track case developments, and maintain litigation calendars.
• Coordinate discovery, including document collection, review, production, and tracking.
• Assist with deposition preparation by organizing exhibits and scheduling participants.
• Conduct legal and factual research, prepare case chronologies, and organize materials.
• Prepare hearing and trial materials, including exhibit lists and trial binders.
• Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, vendors, and teams.
• Maintain organized case files and protect confidential information.
