Job summary

MG+M The Law Firm, with offices in New Jersey and New York, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for a regular full-time position. The role involves supporting multiple civil litigation matters, trial preparation, and client communication in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have at least two years of litigation experience, a bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate, and proficiency in MS Office, Westlaw, PACER, and File & Serve Xpress.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of litigation experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), Westlaw, PACER, and/or File & Serve Xpress.
• Attendance & Punctuality: Consistently arrive at work and meetings on time; ensure responsibilities are covered when absent.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with attorneys, other paralegals, and legal administrative assistants.
• Organization: Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Customer service: Respond promptly to attorney and client requests for service and assistance; meet commitments.
• Dependability: Follow instructions, complete tasks on time, work independently, and commit to the hours necessary to meet deadlines.
• Teamwork: Contribute to building a positive team spirit and support the success of colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple complex litigation matters simultaneously.
• Assist with all aspects of trial preparation and logistics, administrative/case management, client reporting, expert retention, and client communication.
• Monitor case filings and provide detailed assessments to attorneys.
• Draft and prepare initial drafts of various pre-trial motions, dispositive motions, motions in limine, and other pre-trial pleadings.
• Review and evaluate discovery documents including medical records, sales documents, employment records, and other case material.
• Compose case assessments and evaluations for review by associates and partners.
• Contemporaneous accounting and submission of personal billable time.
