Job summary

Cruser Mitchell, a national litigation firm, seeks a Litigation Paralegal/Legal Assistant with 2+ years of litigation experience to join our established defense team in a hybrid Atlanta role. The position emphasizes document control, deposition coordination, subpoenas, medical records review, e-filing, and trial preparation.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential as you support counsel and manage deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience.
• Strong preference for candidates with E-Discovery experience.
• Proven initiative, self-direction, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage case files, including document control, docket deadline calendaring, and filing.
• Manage and schedule depositions, including coordinating with counsel and witnesses, preparing notices, and arranging court reporter.
• Prepare, track and manage subpoenas, and discovery requests to third/non parties regarding production of documents.
• Gather, review, organize and summarize medical records.
• Handle mailings and E-Filing documents, including pleadings, COS, and motions/briefs.
• Assist in the preparation for depositions, including deposition and medical summaries.
• Proficiency in trial preparation, document cite-checking, and filing in federal and state courts.
• Sketch in drafting legal documents such as motions, complaints, etc.
• Ability to calendar litigation deadlines effectively.
• Extensive experience in document review and production.
• Familiarity with legal software.
