Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to drive the liquidity platform modernization project. You will gather requirements, analyze data flows, coordinate testing, and maintain governance and documentation across business, data, and technology teams.

The role emphasizes SQL/Excel data analysis, UAT support, and collaboration in an agile environment, with offers for bonus opportunities and a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of experience as a business systems analyst or similar.
• Experience eliciting and documenting business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process maps.
• Working knowledge of data flows, relational databases, interfaces, and SDLC.
• Proficiency with SQL and Excel for large dataset analysis.
• Hands-on experience with UAT, system testing, and defect tracking.
• Familiarity with data governance, lineage, and change controls.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in an agile environment.
• Knowledge of treasury or liquidity topics is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support requirements discovery sessions with stakeholders; document outcomes and decisions.
• Draft and maintain business requirements, user stories, data definitions, and mappings.
• Analyze current processes to identify gaps and opportunities for automation.
• Perform SQL and Excel data analysis to validate data and calculations; document exceptions.
• Coordinate with technology and data partners to clarify requirements and track progress.
• Prepare test scenarios and data; execute UAT and regression testing; log defects and retest.
• Support phased implementation and onboarding of data sources and products.
• Monitor data or system issues; coordinate remediation and communication of impacts.
• Support legacy platform enhancements and modernization efforts.
• Prepare concise status updates and stakeholder communications.
