• Bachelor’s degree required with four years of progressive experience in research development, pre-award research administration, or grant/project management.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills with ability to write clear institutional guidelines and correspondence.
• Advanced proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint including data compilation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic support for research development services within OPD at Stony Brook University.
• Lead end-to-end management of limited submissions and external funding discovery processes.
• Develop and maintain the OPD web portal and dashboards with current guidelines and deadlines.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely proposals and voting on nominees.
• Draft institutional communications, mentor reviewers, and manage review panels.
