Job summary

You will oversee a portfolio of complex litigated claims, interpret policy language for coverage, and guide settlements while maintaining proper reserves.

A 4-year degree or equivalent experience is required, with at least three years in commercial lines claims.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum 3 years of commercial lines claims experience.
• Familiarity with New York Labor Law and construction defects/third-party property damage preferred.
• Ability to manage defense counsel and experts; strong organization and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of complex litigated claims involving liability and damage matters.
• Interpret policy language to assess coverage and craft coverage position letters.
• Conduct thorough investigations, evaluations, and fair settlements for assigned claims.
• Maintain accurate and timely reserves in line with reserving philosophy.
