Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Liability Claims Examiner for general liability, premise liability and litigated claims in a hybrid Marlton, NJ role (2 days in-office; remote options). You will analyze complex claims, determine liability, negotiate settlements, assign reserves, and coordinate with clients and vendors to ensure timely, cost-effective resolutions.

Applicants should have at least 5 years of claims experience and a bachelor’s degree, with ability to work across East Coast jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Licensing: Home State preferred (East Coast jurisdictions).

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and processes complex or technically difficult general liability claims by investigating and gathering information to determine exposure and manage through to resolution.
• Assesses liability and resolves claims within evaluation.
• Negotiates settlement of claims within designated authority.
• Calculates reserves and payments; maintains reserve adequacy throughout the life of the claim.
• Coordinates vendor referrals for additional investigation and/or litigation management.
• Travels as required.
