Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Liability Claims Examiner for General Liability, Premise Liability, and Litigation experience. The role covers East Coast jurisdictions with preferred licensing.

The position is based in Marlton, NJ with a hybrid schedule (2 days in-office) and remote options if outside commutable distance. Ideal candidates will adjudicate complex claims, negotiate settlements, manage reserves, and coordinate with clients and vendors to ensure timely resolution and cost-effective outcomes.

Qualifications

• Five years of claims management experience or equivalent.
• Licensing: Home State preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and processes complex or technically difficult general liability claims by investigating and gathering information to determine exposure and resolution.
• Assesses liability and resolves claims within evaluation.
• Negotiates settlement of claims within designated authority.
• Calculates and assigns reserves to claims; manages reserve adequacy.
• Prepares state filings within statutory limits; coordinates litigation when needed.
