Job summary

Sedgwick, a global risk and claims management leader, seeks an experienced Liability Claims Examiner for general liability, premises liability, and litigation matters on the East Coast. This role focuses on adjudicating complex claims, negotiating settlements, and ensuring timely and accurate reserves and payments.

We offer a hybrid schedule in Marlton, NJ (2 days in-office) with remote options if outside commuting distance, plus a comprehensive benefits package and career development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Five (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of East Coast States NJ, PA & FL.
• Home State licensing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and processes complex or technically difficult general liability claims by investigating and gathering information to determine exposure and develop action plans.
• Assesses liability and resolves claims within evaluation.
• Negotiates settlements within designated authority.
• Calculates and assigns reserves and manages reserve adequacy throughout the life of the claim.
• Pays benefits due and settles claims within authority; ensures timely claim payments.
