Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care in Pennsauken, NJ is seeking a Leave Specialist to manage the administration of all leave of absence activities for employees. The role emphasizes customer service to employees and managers, with close liaison to our external vendor and internal HR systems.

Responsibilities include auditing and maintaining leave records, ensuring timely actions, and supporting policy improvements while preserving confidentiality in line with FMLA, ADA, and state/local laws.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated record of goal achievement.
• Prior health care and home care experience is a plus.
• Able to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and communicate BAYADA's core values.
• Develop working knowledge of BAYADA's mission, services, and policies.
• Learn organization through technology training, hands-on learning, cross-training, and site visits.
• Demonstrate proficiency with office software (e.g. Workday).
• Effectively manage leave of absence cases.
• Respond to employee questions through HR Command Center and provide leave options.
• Ensure leave requests and approvals are processed accurately and timely.
• Assist in creating training materials on time off and leave policies and procedures, including Workday & BAYADA processes.
• Coordinate activities between external vendor system and internal systems, including Workday and Jira.
• Liaise leave functions with Health and Welfare benefits team as needed.
• Communicate with employees about leave needs and documentation requirements.
• Maintain communication with employees on leave to facilitate return to work.
• Help facilitate accommodation requests under the ADA and guidance from management.
• Preserve confidentiality of medical documentation and files.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable leave and accommodation laws (FMLA, ADA, state/local).
• Support supervisor in managing relationship with Leave Management vendor.
• Support leadership in proposing leave policy changes for compliance.
• Demonstrate solid performance on Performance Appraisal for Office Staff.
• Perform related duties as required.
