Job summary

Essex Property Trust is seeking an Instructional Designer & Trainer for its Property Operations team in Irvine. You will build onboarding, role-based, and ongoing development programs, delivering ILT, VILT, eLearning, videos, and job aids.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in instructional design, learning and development, or related field.
• Experience designing ILT, VILT, blended learning, and eLearning.
• Experience facilitating adult learners in classroom, virtual, or hybrid settings.
• Proficiency with Storyline 360, Rise, Adobe apps, Camtasia, Canva, or similar tools.
• Strong PowerPoint skills and Zoom facilitation experience.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and learner engagement best practices.
• Ability to translate complex information into effective training content.
• Strong project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, facilitate, and improve onboarding and role-based training.
• Create ILT, VILT, eLearning, videos, job aids, and blended solutions.
• Facilitate training in person and virtually via Zoom.
• Manage full training lifecycle from needs assessment to evaluation.
• Collaborate with leadership to translate business needs into learning solutions.
• Analyze feedback and metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain content using Articulate tools, Adobe, Camtasia, Canva, and PowerPoint.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
