Job summary

Proto Labs seeks a Continuous Improvement Specialist to join the Customer Success organization at our Maple Plain location. This hybrid role emphasizes Lean practices to reduce process friction and boost service quality and speed.

You will map workflows, analyze data from CRM/Salesforce and ERP systems, and translate business needs into actionable development work with a sustainment plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 3-5 years in continuous improvement, including transactional/service settings.
• Experience in customer success/service/ops with process understanding.
• Proven process mapping and improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with CRM/ERP systems and defining system enhancement requirements.
• Data gathering across service systems and interpreting SLA/CSAT metrics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Shadow teammates to map current workflows and identify quick improvements (Kaizens).
• Analyze backlog of process issues and identify root causes.
• Map current-state processes and define ideal future-state workflows.
• Gather and analyze data from CRM/SF, AX/ERP, eCommerce to prioritize opportunities.
• Prioritize improvement initiatives based on impact and effort.
• Develop business requirements for CRM/ERP/eCommerce, creating a backlog for tech.
• Translate business needs to technical development work.
• Partner with team to drive projects to completion with sustainment plans.
• Perform hands-on work to clear obstacles and build momentum.
• Participate in team huddles and leadership meetings for updates and problem solving.
• Coach teams in structured problem solving, standard work, visual/daily management.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
