Job summary

Requisite Talent Partners is seeking a Substation Engineering Manager to lead our Boise office. This department leadership role will grow the team, stay technically engaged, and build a growing regional office with strong client demand behind it.

You will mentor engineers, oversee design projects, manage resources and budgets, and contribute to proposals and schedules while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Direct, hands-on substation engineering design experience.
• 8+ years of leadership experience in engineering teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, designers, and drafters delivering substation engineering design projects.
• Own resource planning, performance management, and professional development for the team.
• Build a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to proposal development, scope definition, cost estimates, schedules, and technical documentation.
• Support the team's technical execution throughout project lifecycles.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor project KPIs and quality, and support safety and operation standards.
• Participate in business planning and recruiting to grow the Boise team.
